Part Time Position Only
Independent Contractor 1099
Driving Instructor for part-time position only. Teaching students how to drive and pass their DMV driving test. We teach from 15.5 years old and above, as long as they have a valid instruction permit or driver's license. Most of our students have never driven before, so we have to start from the very beginning, help them learn and gain confidence efficiently and patiently. Our school is behind the wheel training only. We have competitive pay for each lesson completed. We payout once a week, and you can choose which day.
Required Qualifications:
Age 30 +
Unless you have specific driving skills
Must be between 30 and 55 years old, or the very minimum would be 25 if you have some years of knowledge/certification in motorcycle driving, CDL training, or worked for the DMV as a driving examiner. If you are over 55, we will consider your overall health and how much driving experience and patience you have.
We are looking for someone to work some Saturdays, and one weekday of your choice. Summertime is very busy, 3 days would help, and the Winter is very slow, so usually 1 day a week, preferably weekend since we get more lessons then. The lessons fluctuate, especially in winter, so this is not a steady job. We do about 1-3 lessons per day, with an hour in between each lesson to drive to the next lesson. We do not offer more than 3 lessons per day. You won't want to - trust me!
Preferred Qualifications:
Spanish Speaking
And Female - most of our customers request a woman
We would love someone bi-lingual, especially in Spanish. Other languages are fine as well, we just get asked about Spanish often. Knowledge in other driving skills is also preferred, or even other vehicles such as, motorcycles, semi-trucks, tractors, manual cars, etc. Or prior work experience as a driving instructor or Driver's Ed teacher.
